Our Story

We live in a crazy, complicated, and often stressful world – yet at the same time when we pause and truly look around…we can find beauty and creativity surrounding us….in a sunrise, a flower, the fall leaves, a smile from a stranger…. My Mom had the amazing gift of seeing creativity all around her…she was a creative at heart and an artist by God-given talent. While I did not see any creativity in myself – my Mom did. She enrolled me in an art class on Saturday mornings as a young teen and guess what….I found my creativity! I was introduced to new art forms, friendships, and creative gifts that I didn’t know I had.

As the effects of COVID-19 touched communities worldwide, I am again reminded of my childhood art escape, and have been inspired to give young girls a similar opportunity. After enlisting the help of long-time friend, client, and creative Jody Flanigan, the duo formed ArtXscapes with the goal of creating a safe environment for young girls to gather and learn from art experts as they explore their God-given talents.

We believe that creativity is a powerful tool and valuable escape for girls as they navigate their youth and grow into adulthood. ArtXscapes nurtures a creative mindset and introduces constructive life paths founded on artistic principles. Each week will bring new lessons, new skills, & new opportunities. Each 5-week program highlights a new Guest Speaker.

ArtXscapes is for girls to express themselves in a comfortable, stress-free space.

We hope you’ll join us and experience your own ArtXscape!

Love,

Lori & Jody
